Beacon of H.O.P.E. Ceremony
The Beacon of H.O.P.E. is a non-profit Community Development Corporation in the city of Orange, which was formed to help meet the growing social needs of our County. They operate Pyrophobia Skate Park as an after-school program for teens, as well as an emergency food assistance program which offers transitional assistance to hard working families. Awards
The following awards will be handed out pregame:
Fred Haney Award- Awarded by the organization to the outstanding rookie(s) during Spring Training as voted on by Angels' coaching staff. This year's winner is yet to be determined.
Nick Kamzic Award- This award is given annually to the Angels' scouts who epitomize the dedication, perseverance and excellence demonstrated by the award's namesake. This year's winners are Jeff Schugel and Jack Uhey.
Kenny Myers Award- Awarded to those minor league position players judged best in the organization as recognized by the minor league personnel and field staff. This year's winners are Sean Rodriguez, Minor League Player of the Year, and Jeff Mathis, Minor League Defensive Player of the Year.
Mara Forcey Award- Given to a member of the minor league staff for their outstanding commitment and dedication to the organization. This year's winner is Geoff Hostetter.
Howie Gershberg Award- The Angels' Minor League Pitcher of the Year award has been renamed the "Howie Gershberg Minor League Pitcher of the Year" award after the Angels' late minor league pitching instructor. This year's winner is Joe Saunders.

Honorary First Pitch
In addition to throwing out the honorary first pitch, Troy Percival will officially retire as an Angel prior to Monday's Home Opener.
Flag Presentation
Joint services honor guard will present our nation's colors, displaying a 300 foot American flag during the singing of the national anthem.
Clydesdales
Anheuser Busch's Clydesdales will be parading along the perimeter of Angels' Stadium before the start of the game on Opening Day. The Clydesdales will be staged for photo opportunities throughout the evening.

Commemorate the career of Tim Salmon with this hand-sculpted and hand-painted bobblehead doll built to resemble "Mr. Angel." Bobbleheads will be given away pregame to all fans in attendance courtesy of Chevy & Star 98.7.
Tim Salmon Ceremony
Prior to the game there will be a ceremony commemorating the career of former-Angels' great Tim Salmon. He will also throw out the honorary first pitch.
Banco Luncheon
Banco Popular will have a luncheon Tuesday afternoon for 60 customers and employees in the Diamond Club. Ervin Santana will be there to sign autographs, take photos and say a few words.

Rolaids Relief Award
The Rolaids Relief Award is given annually to the outstanding relief pitcher in each league. This year's AL winner is Angels' closer Francisco Rodriguez. Rodriguez becomes just the third Angel in franchise history to receive this award, sharing the honor with Minnie Rojas (1967) and Bryan Harvey (1991).

Silver Slugger Award
For the 4th consecutive year, Vladimir Guerrero has received the Silver Slugger Award, which is given annually to the best offensive player at each position in each league. Winners are picked by Major League managers and coaches, who are not allowed to vote for their own players.
Selections are based on a combination of offensive statistics, such as as batting average, on-base percentage and slugging percentage, as well as general impressions of a player's offensive value.

Easter at the Ballpark
Angel fans can spend Easter at the Ballpark! Fans can make reservations in the Home Plate Club for an Easter Brunch, enjoy coloring Easter Eggs in the McDonald Family Sunday area and bring kids ages 2-12 down to the field for a post game Easter Egg Hunt. The Easter Bunny will be making appearances at the Home Plate Gate and Club, the outfield for kid's parade and post game for Easter Egg Hunt.
Kids Opener
Angels will dedicate the first Saturday of Opening Week to welcome back all Angel youth fans. Angel fans between the ages of 5-18 entered a contest for a chance to win one of the following baseball fantasies:

Take the Field with the Angels
Participants were asked to write 50 words or less on why they would be the perfect choice for the Kids Opener.
Their fantasies will be throughout the game on Sunday.
